    Nursing Profession plays a most important role in health sector. There is an major demand for them in hospital and health centers right from general ward to operation theatre. Therefore, with the growth of the health industry, the demand for nurses is also increasing making a career in Nursing very attractive.

    Basically nurses take general care of patients. At higher levels, specialization and skills are required for managing medical-surgical emergencies and intensive care patients. Nursing profession handles medication, setting up and operating medical equipments, keeping records of patients progress and administration.

    With increasing health consciousness, the quality of health services has improved. Skilled nurses are in high demand by the health organizations. Many of the nurses get placements abroad. Most of the nurses working throughout the world are from India. The skilled nurses can get the employment in specialized fields like Surgical, Medical, ICU, Telemetry and ER.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DIPLOMA IN NURSING (GNM)
    • 10+2 class passed science (PCB + English) with 40%
    • 10+2 class passed Arts/Commerce with 40%
    • 10+2 Vocational ANM under CBSC board or INC with 40%
    • 10+2 Arts or Science exam or Health Care Science Vocational Stream only Conducted by NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF OPEN SCHOOL with 40%
    • Completed 17 years at the time of admission
    • COURSE DURATION: 3 YEARS


    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR B SC NURSING
    • PUC II year science examination passed
    • Minimum 45% in PCB + English SC/ST 40%
    • Completed 17 years at the time of admission
    • COURSE DURATION: 4 YEARS


    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR M SC NURSING
    • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
    • The minimum education requirments shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc.Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
    • The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc.Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
    • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
    • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
